  Notes	Birth: 1862 Death: 1925 Grantsville, Md., May 2 - John O. Getty, banker, died late Friday afternoon, following a heart attack sustained Wednesday morning. He was 63 years old. Mr. Getty was a telegrapher and merchant for a number of years, later becoming cashier of the First National Bank. In 1910 he was appointed cashier of the First State Bank here, of which he was an organizer. When his health failed, he continued his connection as chairman of the board of directors. Mr. Getty was a son of the late State Senator William R. Getty, of Garrett county. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Anna Dorsey, and four children, Miss Angela Getty, Mrs. Joseph Fahey and Frank and William Getty, all of Grantsville. Alvin F. Getty, of the First National Bank, Cumberland, and L. E. Getty, Richmond, Va., are brothers, and Mrs. G. C. Keller, Grantsville, and Mrs. M. Bruce Lichty, Meyersdale, sisters. Mr. Getty was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Grantsville, from which the funeral will take place on Monday morning at 9 o'clock with the Rev. Father Gabriel, of Cumberland, officiating. Burial will be in Grantsville cemetery.
