"JOS. DURBIN LAID TO REST SATURDAY"
"Jos. Durbin, an aged and highly respected farmer of Loudon township, passed away early Thursday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Dial near Altamont."
"The body was brought to the Cook Funeral Home in this city."
"Funeral services were conducted at St. Clare's Catholic church in Altamont Saturday morning. Burial was beside his wife in the Mt. Moriah cemetery near his home."
OBITUARY
"Joseph Francis Durbin, son of Benjamin and Katie Durbin, was born March 8, 1870 and departed this life April 6, 1939, aged 69 years and 28 days."
"He was united in marriage to Barbara Ellen Grubaugh July 1, 1888. To this union were born ten children. Four of them preceded him in death. He is survived by six children: Mrs. Katie Reed of Beecher City; Mrs. Artie Dial of Altamont; Mrs. Irene Hopper of Decatur; Earl Durbin of Bement; Jimmy Durbin of Altamont and Glenn Durbin of Beecher City; 21 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends."
