Harry G. Butts, 81 year old retired B&O engineer, died yesterday at his home, 443 Pennsylvania Avenue. A native of Martinsburg, W. Va., he was born on October 23, 1880, a son of the late Henry S. and Sarah J. Butts. His wife, Mrs. Rose Lee (McKenzie) Butts, preceded him in death. Mr. Butts, who retired from the railroad in 1947, was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Goodfellowship Club. Surviving are four sons, Paul H. Butts, city; Charles W. Butts, Jacksonville, Fla.; Homer A. Butts, a government worker in Chatreaux, France; Robert L. Butts, Baltimore. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wilma R. Hardman, city; Mrs. Helen K. Tsatsanis, Baltimore; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home by Rev. Russell Fink, pastor of St. Johhn's Church, and interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Cumberland Evening Times, Mar 2 1962
