- The story is told that Willis and family were going to visit relatives. They were crossing a high bridge at Creston, Louisiana. Somthing spooked the horses. Willis jumped out and tried to calm the horses; however, the wagon started backing up, one wheel dropped off the bridge, the wagon turned over and fell in the water. The horses fell on top of it. Three were killed---Callied Adams, Onnie Wiggins and a Kolb infant. They are buried at Old Castor Cemetery at Castor.
