- Justice of the Common Pleas.
called to the bar in 1567, became reader in autumn 1578. In 1594 he removed from the inn on being made a serjeant, and in the following year he received the additional honour queen's serjeant. After the death of Lord Burleigh, he was elevated to the bench as a judge of theCommon Pleas, on Feb 8, 1599. After the accension of King James, who knighted him, he retained his post till Hillary 1606, when he resigned.
