- ARLINGTON, Va. - Mrs. Shirley (Coder) Clark, 64, died Jan. 5, 1991, in a Newport News hospital. She had been residing with her daughter, Karen Bailey, 711 Sedgefield Drive, Newport News. Born Feb. 25, 1926 in Ridgeley, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Ward and Viola (Logsdon) Coder. A graduate of Ridgeley High School and Catherman’s Business School, Cumberland, Md., Mrs. Clark was formerly employed in the office of Rosenbaum’s Department Store, Cumberland. Her husband, Orville Clark, formerly of Cumberland, preceded her in death. Survivors include another daughter, Mrs. Norma (Clark) Scavone, Hollywood, Fla.; and five grandchildren. Services were conducted in Newport News. Interment was in Arlington Cemetery. Cumberland Times-News, January 22, 1991
She was buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
