- Olive Eileen (Dick) Layman, 49, of Grantsville RD 2, Md., died Oct.16, 1980 in Meyersdale Community Hospital. She was born at Avilton, Md., and was a daughter of the late Charles Dishong and Rose (Robeson) Dishong. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Willard L. (Buzz) Layman; two sons, Gary Layman and Jeffrey Layman, one daughter, Mrs. Susan Hughes, all of Grantsville; three sisters, Mrs. Kathleen McKenzie, Avilton; Mrs. Helen Holler and Mrs. Betty Jane Showalter, both of Salisbury, and six grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home where services were conducted in St. Paul's United Methodist Church by Mrs. Sadie Triplett. Interment will be Mount Zion Cemetery, Rt. 40. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to St. Paul's United Methodist Church. The Republic, October 23, 1980.
