- FROSTBURG — Francis R. “Red” Cunningham, 90, of 9 Centennial St., Frostburg, died Monday, June 8, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born Sept. 26, 1907, in Mount Savage, he was the son of the late Charles and Sarah (Lynch) Cunningham. He also was preceded in death by two brothers; two sisters; and one daughter, Rita Ann Cunningham. Mr. Cunningham was a retired foreman with Cumberland Cement and Supply. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Frostburg. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Alma M. (Deibler) Cunningham; two daughters, Wilda Plummer, and husband, Berl, and Elaine Diamond, and husband, Bill, all of Frostburg; one sister, Helen Wheatley, Baltimore; six grandchildren, Martin “Marty” Plummer, and wife, Mary Jane; Paula Rita Morgan, and husband, Gene; William “Bill” Diamond, and wife, Jane; Jon Diamond, and wife, Karen; James “Jimmy” Diamond, and wife, Cindy; and Maria Cotton, and husband, Dave; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
