She died on 13 Apr 2007 in Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland. CRESAPTOWN — Wilma Virginia (Lease) Ware, 82, of Cresaptown, passed away Friday, April 13, 2007, at WMHS -Braddock Campus. Born Feb. 15, 1925, in Pinto, she was the daughter of the late Arlie T. and Byrle (MacKenzie) Lease. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Calvin Ware, and three brothers, Arlie Jr., Reuben, and Buford Lease. She attended Allegany High School before enlisting in the United States Air Corps during World War II, never ceasing to be proud of her military service. She was employed in the Rosenbaum Shoe Department, Heacox Shoe Store, Nobil’s Shoe Store, and the spinning department of Celanese Corp. Wilma was a member of the Ridgeley VFW, the Goodfellowship Club, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 245, of which she was a charter member. Surviving are three daughters, Linda Lewis and husband Bob, Bel Air; Robin Fadley and Kala Dawson, both of Cresaptown; three sisters: Colleen Smith and husband Bill, Corriganville, Donna Mallow, Annapolis, and B. Darlene Lease, Cresaptown; one brother, Paul Lease and wife Flo, LaVale; sisters and brothers-in-law, Delores Lease, Ethel Lease, Joan Ware, Betty Ware, Penny Delawder, and Donald Ware; grandchildren, Bric Lewis and wife Tonya, Darrin Lewis, James and Lonnie Iser, Eric Fadley and wife Tammy, and Shay Kennell and husband Tyler; great-grandchildren, Ember Fadley and Zoe Lewis, and many nieces and nephews that held her in high regard with love. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown (www.scarpellifh.com), on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at noon with Rev. Harold McClay Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Lease’s Cemetery, Cresaptown. Cumberland Times obituary. She was buried on 18 Apr 2007 in Lease Cemetery, Cresaptown, Allegany Co., Maryland.
