  Notes	Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Leo H. Darr, Adamstown, parents of Pfc. Eugene Leo Darr, of the death of their son following a jeep accident in Austria. According to a Department of Army telegram, the county soldier's death occurred Monday. Details were not immediately available pending further notification by the Army. The telegram stated only that death occurred August 9 "partially due to a jeep accident somewhere in Austria." Pfc. Darr would have been 22 years of age in a month. He was born September 9, 1932, and was a graduate of Frederick High School, class of '51. Prior to entering the service he was employed by Three Springs Fisheries, Lily Pons. He entered the service in March of 1953 and received his basic training at Camp Breckenridge, Ky. Since Sept. of last year he had been stationed at Camp St. Johann, St. Johann, Austria, with the 59th Reconnaissance Company. Survivors in addition to his parents include one sister, Arlene Rita Darr, at home. He was member of the Methodist church at Urbana and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. The body will be returned for interment here. The Frederick Post, August 12, 1954.
