  Notes	Dr. Lawrence Ralph "Brodie" McKenzie, 62, of 60 Allendale Avenue, LaVale, died Monday at his residence. He had been in ill health. Dr. McKenzie had been a practicing chiropractor here for 33 years. His office was located at 412 Virginia Avenue. Born Dec. 27, 1921 in Westernport, he was a son of the late Ralph McKenzie and Irene (Raines) McKenzie Keyser. He served with the Army Engineers in World War II and was a member and past president of the South Cumberland Business and Civic Association. A 1939 graduate of Fort Hill High School and a graduate of the Lincoln Chiropractic College in Indianapolis, Ind., he also attended the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, where he studied x ray and physical therapy. Dr. McKenzie was a member of the Toastmasters Association; Henry Hart Post 1411, Veterans of Foreign Wars; Fort Cumberland Post 13, American Legion. He was a former Rotarian, a member of former Gov. Marvin Mandel’s Physical Fitness Commission, and a former officer of the local Hypnosis Association chapter. He is survived by his widow, the former Vera Louise Stevanus; his stepfather, William Keyser, Cumberland; one son, Lawrence R. McKenzie Jr., Pittsburgh, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Carol Sue Bone, LaVale, and three step-grand-children. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Hillcrest Burial Park by the Rev. Donald L. Burggraf. The family requests that memorials be directed to the hospice unit at Sacred Heart Hospital or to Christ Lutheran Church, LaVale. The Scarpelli Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be David Scollick, Eugene Keyser, Joseph Tome, Stanley Sweeney, William Menges and Thomas Seymour. Cumberland Evening Times, Tuesday, October 30, 1984
