  Notes	SCOTTDALE, Jan. 24 — George W. Porter, 96 years old, oldest citizen of the community, died Thursday night at 11 o'clock at his home west of Scottdale. He was a retired farmer and was a lifelong member of the Jacobs Creek Methodist Episcopal Church. He assisted in the building of the church, many years ago. His wife, Mrs. Elsie Cochran Porter, died January, 1911. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Christy at home and Mrs. Amy Porter Boyd of Scottdale; also two grandchildren, Miss Celia Porter and Ivan Porter of Scottdale.
