"OBITUARY"
"Barbara Ellen Durbin, daughter of John and Elizabeth Grubaugh was born May 3rd, 1872 and departed this life at theage of 61 years, 2 months and 4 days. She was united in marriage to Joseph Durbin July 1, 1888. To this union was (sic) born 10 children, 4 having preceded her in death, leaving to mourn her departure her husband and six children, Mrs. Katie Reed of Beecher City, Mrs. Artie Dial of Altamont, Mrs. Irene Hopper of Decatur, Earl Durbin of Bement, Jimmy Durbin of Altamont and Glen Durbin of Beecher City, also 2 brothers and 2 sisters, William Grubaugh of Beecher City, Mrs. Sarah Cameron of St. Elmo and Mrs. Nancy Durbin of Beecher City and 18 grand children (sic) and a host of other relatives and friends."
"She lost her eye sight in 1928 and bore her affliction faithfully until the end. She was a faithful wife, a kind and loving mother and will be sadly missed by all who knew her."
"Peaceful be your rest, dear Mother,
Tis sweet to breathe your name
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same."
"Funeral services were held at Mt. Moriah church Sunday at 2:00 P.M. conducted by Rev. A. E. Kretzer. Interment was in the cemetery nearby."
