- SALISBURY, Pa. — Elmer U. Caton, 62, of Boynton, died Friday at Meyersdale Community Hospital. A native of Garrett County, Md., he was a son of Mrs. Bertha (Johnson) Caton McKenzie, RD 4, Meyersdale, and the late Simon Caton. Also surviving are his wife, Susan (Strum) Caton; a son, Eugene E. Caton, Meyersdale; two daughters, Mrs. Betty L. Bowser, Walled Lake, Mich., and Mrs. Bertha Sines, Fairbanks, Alaska; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Knepp, Meyersdale, RD 4; a half-brother, Eugene McKenzie, Boynton; a half-sister, Mrs. Pearl Sturtz, Meyersdale RD 4, and 10 grandchildren. The body is at the Thomas Funeral Home, here, where a service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Paul W. Walker will officiate and interment will be in IOOF Cemetery, here.
