- KEYSER, W.Va. — Elwood M. “Woody” Kenealy, 72, of St. Mary of Providence, Elverson, Pa., formerly of Keyser, died Saturday, May 20, 1995, at the Brandywine Hospital, Coatesville, Pa. Born Oct. 7, 1922, in Piedmont, W.Va., he was the son of the late Bernard J. and Rhoda (Cane) Kenealy. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Genevieve M. (McKenzie) Kenealy, on Dec. 5, 1985; and a sister, Elva Jean Lamberson. Mr. Kenealy was a retired carman for the B & O Railroad and a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen; a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of V.F.W. Post 6775 Queens Point, McCoole, Md.; and a member of the Assumption Church, Keyser. Surviving are his wife, Mildred E. (Wallace) Kenealy, three stepdaughters, Dorothy L. Remify, Newark, Del., Patricia A Wells, Morgantown, Pa., and Constance A Johnson, Plano, Texas; two sisters, Virginia L. Welton, Keyser, and Maxine E. Marconi, Westminster, Md.; his twin brother, Ellsworth A. Kenealy, Westernport, Md.; seven step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Markwood-McKenzie Funeral Home, Keyser. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the Assumption Church, Keyser, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Father Ivan M. Lebar, T.O.R., officiating. Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, with military honors accorded by V.F.W. Post 6775 Queens Point, McCoole.
