Funeral notice: A requiem mass for Miss Helen McKenzie, 76, who died Sunday at her residence, 223 Carroll Street, will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lynn Bechtol, Donald Lilys, Joseph McFarland, Casper Taylor, John Wolfhope, and Francis Harvey. The Third Order of St. Francis will recite the Rosary today at 8 p.m. at the Stein Funereal Home. The Cumberland Evening Times, November 14, 1961.
Miss Helen Mary McKenzie, 76, died yesterday at her residence 223 Carroll Street. A native of Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Enoch A. and Margaret (Rohman) Mckenzie. She was a member of the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Third Order of St. Francis. Surviving are three brothers, John A. McKenzie, Chicago, Enoch E. McKenzie, Detroit, and Vincent A. McKenzie, city; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Mullan, Mrs. Marian Wills, and Mrs. Lawrence Mantheiy, all of the city, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body is at the Stein Funeral Home where the family will receive friends today and tomorrow from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and interment will be in the parish cemetery.
