- FROSTBURG — Mrs. Helen V. Pfitzenmayer, 64, of Ellerslie, was dead on arrival yesterday at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. A native of Frostburg, she a daughter of the late Roy and Grace (Michaels) Jeffries, and was the widow of Gilbert C. Pfitzenmayer. Surviving are three sons, Charles and Edward Pfitzenmayer, at home, and George Pfitzenmayer, Ellerslie; three daughters, Mrs. Selma Lowery, Mrs. Doris Stuby and Mrs. JoAnn Lowery, Ellerslie; three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Raley, Mrs. Mildred Minnick, here, and Mrs. James Jones, Bomont, W.Va.; a half sister, Mrs. Wilma Femi, Frostburg; three half brothers, William McKenzie, Francis McKenzie and Eugene McKenzie, Finzel; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer-Sowers Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. The Cumberland News, February 23, 1974
