Wednesday, January 16, 2002 - Cumberland Times-News - FROSTBURG -- Allen B. "Add" Minnick, 86, of Frostburg, died on Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at home. Born on Jan. 4, 1916, in Frostburg, he is the son of the late Joseph and Frances (McKenzie) Minnick. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane (Mire) Minnick, who died on Oct. 21, 1998. Mr. Minnick served in the Army. He was retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire Co. Surviving are one son, David Minnick and wife Sherry, Frostburg; three daughters, Linda Martin and husband Bill, Jacksonville, Fla., Susan Moyers and husband Raymond, Cumberland, and Lorraine Minnick and special friend, Doug Williams, Frostburg; seven grandchildren, Brian, Bruce, Bradley and Brook Firlie, Jessie and Wayne Moyers, and David Minnick Jr.; six great-grandchildren, Jacob, Tarrah, Luke, Chance, Daniel, Brenna and Brandon; one sister, Helen Brode, and son, "Butch", Frostburg. At his request, his body will be cremated. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Father William E. Moody officiating.
