  Notes	FROSTBURG — Sylvia Catherine Hunter, 64, of Route 2, Frostburg, died Monday, Feb. 7, 1994 at Memorial Hospital. Born on May 5, 1929 at Finzel, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Mary Verna (McKenzie) Caton. Mrs. Hunter was a member of Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Frostburg; charter member of Eastern Garrett Fire Auxiliary; member of Northern Garrett Republican Women’s Club and lifetime member of Route 40 School PTA. Surviving are her husband, Howard Lester Hunter; one son, Paul Hunter, Finzel; three daughters, Lois Jones, Frostburg; Tammy Hunter, Augusta, W.Va.; Amy Hunter, at home; four brothers, Clifford Caton Jr., Frostburg; James Caton, Virgil Caton and Thomas Caton, all of Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters, Evelyn Short, Mentor, Ohio; Emma Jane Thorn, Cleveland; Nancy Wilhelm and Mary Ann Wilhelm, both of Avilton; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one step great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Michael’s Church on Thursday at 10 a.m. with Msgr. John L. Reinsfelder officiating. Interment will be in Finzel Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service by Eastern Garrett Fire Auxiliary at 8:30 p.m. The Cumberland Times-News, Wednesday, February 9, 1994
