- I was very interested in reading your entry on the Somerset County web pages. _Particularly interested in the Cyrus McKenzie entry. My great grandmother was Savilla Loechel. Savilla's sister was Catharine Loechel Wagner, married to Wells Wagner. I always wondered who this Cyrus McKenzie was in the 1880 census listed with Catharine, Wells and their two sons, Harry and Alonzo. I know Wells Wagner passed away on 2 Jan 1889. Catharine and her sons relocated _to Morrill, Kansas. Catharine remarried a man named Sawyer, she passed away 23 Nov 1931. Her one son Alonzo passed away 4 Oct 1956 in Morrill. Lost track of Harry Wagner, in his mother's obit, it stated that he moved to California. Do you know what happened to Cyrus. Also, Do you have any more info on the Cyrus C. McKenzie - Catharine Loechel McKenzie marriage. _Rich Boyer
"Sawyer - Mrs. Catherine Sawyer, 88, of Morrill, died at 5:30 Monday evening, _after several months illness. Mrs. Sawyer is survived by 2 sons, Lon Wagner, _of Morrill, Harry Wagner, of California; 3 step-sons, two step-daughters. Funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home. Burial in Morrill _cemetery". This obit appeared in the Brown County World, Friday, November 27, _1931.
