Minnick, 84, formerly of 61 LaVale Boulevard, LaVale, died Tuesday at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home. He was born in Frostburg, a son of the late R. Edward Minnick and Annie (Blocher) Minnick. Mr. Minnick was retired from the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory and was a member of the Frostburg United Methodist Church. His wife, the former Iva Plummer, died in 1978. Surviving are two brothers, James Minnick, Carlos; Walter Minnick, Frostburg, and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Kenneth Humbert. Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers, all nephews, will be Douglas Barmoy, Shawn Barmoy, Patrick Stevens, Kevin Stevens and Scott Stevens.
