Knepp, of Eckhart, died yesterday in Miners Hospital where she had been a patient for ten days. Mrs. Knepp was a member of Eckhart Methodist Church. A daughter of the late Isaac and Sophia (Anderson) Blocher, of Garrett county, Mrs. Knepp's survivors, besides her husband, include five daughters, Mrs. James Beach and Mrs. Edward Thomas, both of here, Mrs. Clifford Bennett, Eckhart, Mrs. Harry Noe, Cresaptown, and Mrs. Fred Crowe, Montana; three sons, Burnell Knepp, Washington; Harold Knepp, Eckhart, and Bernard Knepp, at home; a sister, Mrs. Anna Minnick, and two brothers, Wesley and Charles Blocher, all of here, and 15 grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where services will be conducted tomorrow at 2:30 p. m. with Rev. Wilbur Grose, pastor of Eckhart Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery, Garrett county. The Cumberland Evening Times, January 28, 1952 Bertha BLOCHER and Philip Henry KNEPP were married on 4 Feb 1902 in Garrett Co., Maryland. Philip Henry KNEPP was born on 17 Jul 1883 in Maryland. He died on 15 Nov 1965. FROSTBURG — Philip H. Knepp, 82, of near Eckhart, died yesterday. He had been in failing health three years. Born in Garrett County, he was a son of the late Henry and Susan (Ambrose) Knepp. His wife, Bertha (Blocher) Knepp, preceded him in death. Mr. Knepp was a retired carpenter for the Allegany Ballistics laboratory. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are five daughters: Mrs. James Beach, Mrs. Olive Thomas, here; Mrs. Clifford Bennett, Eckhart; Mrs. Fred Crowe, Choteau. Mont., and Mrs. Harry Noe, Cleveland, Ohio: three sons, Bernard Knepp, here; Bernell Knepp, Washington, and Harold Knepp, Eckhart; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
