- Mrs. Joseph McKenzie, - Mrs. Zella Edna McKenzie, 71, of Craddock Road, Cresaptown, died Friday night in Sacred Heart Hospital where she had been a patient since July 6. A native of Cresaptown, she was a daughter of the late Elijah and (Eliza) Starkey) Winter. Her husband, Joseph F. McKenzie, died in 1955. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Cresaptown. Survivors include a son, Joseph L. McKenzie, Clairemont, Calif., a daughter, Mrs. Bernard Hinds, at home; a brother, Wressel O. Winter, Cresaptown; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The body is at the John J. Hafer Chapel of the Hills, intersection of U.S. Route 40 and Winchester Road. The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. in St. Ambrose Catholic Church by Rev. Carroll Warner, OFM, Cap., pastor and Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial park. Pallbearers will be Ferman Barton, Harman Barton, Alex Struntz, James McKenzie, Dale Broadwater and George Krnaya.
