FROSTBURG — Joseph E. McKenzie, 68, of Little Savage Mountain, died suddenly Saturday night at the White Oak Inn near Grantsville. He was a son of the late Francis and Leah Anna (Warner) McKenzie. His wife, Samantha (Warner) McKenzie, preceded him in death. A retired clay miner, he was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church at Avilton, the church's Holy Name Society and the Loyal Order of Moose of Frostburg. Survivors include two sons, Carl and Donald McKenzie, both of RD 2, Frostburg; a daughter, Mrs. Isabelle Durr, Rawlings; a sister, Mrs. Charles Bolden, Meyersdale; a brother, Francis McKenzie, Meyersdale, and a grandchild. A requiem mass will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church. Interment will be in the Greenville (Pa.) Cemetery. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Manley Broadwater, William Eberly, Roy Winebrenner, Michael Arnone, Orville Minnick and Olivia Fabbri. The Cumberland Evening Times, March 5, 1956
