- Clarence Alvin (Tod) MCKENZIE (Zachariah-3, Zacharias-2, John M.-1) was born on 5 Nov 1907 in Avilton, Garrett Co., Maryland. He died on 13 Aug 1965 in Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland. Clarence Alvin McKenzie, 51, of Amcelle Acres, died Friday night at Sacred Heart Hospital where he had been admitted earlier in the day. He had been in ill health six months. A native of Avilton, he was a son of the late Zach and Lillian Steinla McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was a member of St. Ambrose's Catholic Church of Cresaptown and was employed at Jimmy's Market. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ora F. (Lease) McKenzie; five daughters, Mrs. Jackie Juliano, at home; Mrs. Marion Herring, Amcelle Acres; Mrs. Wayne Johnson, Oakland; Mrs. William Senn, RD 1, Ridgeley; and Miss Rebecca Ann McKenzie, at home; two sons, Richard and James McKenzie, both of Amcelle Acres; two brothers, Elmer McKenzie, Auburn, Wash.; and James McKenzie, Bradenton, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Ernest Slider, Oldtown, and five grandchildren. The body is at the George Funeral Home where the family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p. m. and 7 to 9 p. m. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home today. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 9 a.m. in Ambrose's Catholic Church, and interment will be in the Lease Cemetery.
