- Margaret M. CONWAY (Florence MCKENZIE-3, Jeremiah James-2, John M.-1) was born about 1909 in Mount Savage, Allegany Co., Maryland. She died on 2 Dec 1968 in Hagerstown, Washington Co., Maryland. Mrs. Margaret M. Gilford, 59, of 544 Chestnut Street, Hagerstown, died yesterday in the Avlon Manor there after a lingering illness. A native of Mt. Savage, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (McKenzie) Conway. Mrs. Gilford was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Hagerstown. A former resident of Cumberland, she was employed at the Algonquin Hotel. Survivors include her husband, William P. Gilford; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Nobert P. Barr, East Brunswick, N.J.; a brother, Edward J. Conway, Mt. Savage, and four sisters, Mrs. Earl Willetts, LaVale; Mrs. William Cooley, Hagerstown; Miss Regina Conway, Cumberand, and Mrs. Ellsworth Rice, Havre de Grace. The body will be at the George Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 9 a. m. at St.. Patrick's Catholic Church and burial will be in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be recited today at 8:30 p. m. at the funeral home. The Cumberland News, December 3, 1968
