He had been in failing health for five months. Born in Mt. Savage, he was the son of the late Joseph and Florence (McKenzie) Conway. Mr. Conway was a sales representative for Reliable Liquors Inc., Baltimore, and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mt. Savage, and the Holy Name Society of the Church. He was also a member of Mt. Savage Council 1058, Knights of Columbus; Chief Justice Taney General Assembly, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Cumberland; Frostburg Lodge 470, BPOE; Cumberland Aerie 245, FOE, Order of Owls Nest 90, and the Woodmen of the World. Surviving are his widow, Mary W. (George) Conway; one daughter, Mrs. William R. Mason, Mt. Savage; four sisters, Mrs. Earl Willetts, La Vale; Mrs. William Cooley, Hagerstown; Miss Regina Conway, Cumberland, and Mrs. Ellsworth Rice, Havre de Grace, and two grandchildren. The body is at the George Funeral Home, Cumberland, where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Requiem mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church here. Interment will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Cumberland. Members of Chief Justice Taney Assembly will serve as honor guard. Knights of Columbus Council 1058, Mt. Savage, and the Holy Name Society will recite the rosary at the funeral home tomorrow at 8 p.m. The Cumberland News, January 21, 1969
