  Notes	Dallas William MCKENZIE was born in 1911. He died on 30 Jul 1964 in Garrett Co., Maryland. FROSTBURG — Dallas William McKenzie, 53, of Garrett County, died yesterday near his home. He was a self-employed pulpwood cutter. Born in Garrett County, he was a son of the late Peter and Dora (Caton) McKenzie. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Surviving are four brothers, Dayton McKenzie, of McHenry, and Francis, Ralph and Stanley McKenzie all of Lorraine, Ohio, and two sisters, Mrs. Flossie Garlitz, RD 2, Frostburg, and Miss Gernie McKenzie, at home. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home, Frostburg, where friends will be received today. A requiem mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a. m. in St. Michael's Catholic Church and interment will be in St. Anne's Cemetery, Avilton. The Cumberland Evening Times, July 31, 1964 He. Four Allegany County men received sentences on liquor charges. Elmer Garlitz, 35, his brother Esco Garlitz, 23, and Dallas McKenzie, 28, were given six months sentences. They were arrested in July when federal agents raided a still in the woods near Frostburg. Howard Platter received a four-month sentence. All four pleaded guilty. The Cumberland Evening Times, October 7, 1939 Dallas McKenzie of Garrett County was admitted to Miners Hospital last evening after cutting an artery at the back of his head with an axe while chopping timber in the woods. McKenzie had cut a tree down. While trimming it his axe struck a limb which deflected it, striking him at the back of the head. He was brought to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.
