- Francis W. McKenzie, 71, of 205 Maple Street, city, died Sunday at the Meyersdale, Pa., Manor Nursing Home. Born in Garrett County, he was a son of the late Peter A. McKenzie and Dora Agnes (Caton) McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie retired in 1969 from the U. S. Steel plant in Lorain, Ohio. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg. His wife, the former Catherine Coddington, preceded him in death. Survivors include one stepdaughter, Mrs. Rose Marie Barger, Cumberland; two sisters, Mrs. Flossie Garlitz, Beall School Road, Frostburg; Mrs. Jernie C. Kelley, Frostburg; two brothers, Dayton McKenzie, Jennings; Stanley McKenzie, Elyria, Ohio; three step-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Hafer Frost Mansion, Frost Avenue, Frostburg, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Cumberland Evening Times, October 21, 1985
