- FROSTBURG - Gerald McKenzie, 68, of Star Route, Long Stretch, died suddenly Tuesday, April 30, 1991 at his residence. Born in Avilton April 10, 1923, he was the son of the late Sebastian and Ethel (Garlitz) McKenzie. His wife, Mary (Urbas) McKenzie, died March 29,1988. Mr. McKenzie was a retired employee of the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Rizer, Star Route, Long Stretch; five sisters, Madeline Maust, Lonaconing; Margaret Pollata, Bedford, Ohio; Mary Warner and Betty O’Grince, both of Long Stretch; Jennie Vivian, Blacksburg, Va.; two brothers, Paul E. McKenzie, Long Stretch; and Jesse McKenzie, Northfield, Ohio; two grandchildren, Autumn Marie Rizer and Gerald Benjamin Rizer. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian wake service will be held there Thursday at 8 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church by Monsignor John L.
