- Mrs. Violet Mildred McKenzie, 66, of 12107 Marigold Avenue Southwest, Potomac Park, died yesterday at her residence. She had been in ill health several months. Born in Avilton, she was a daughter of the late George Grove and Pearl (Robinson) Grove. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and the ladies club of the church. She is survived by her husband, Bernard A. McKenzie; two sons, Bernard E. McKenzie, this city, Galen G. McKenzie, Bel Air; two brothers, Cecil G. Grove, Hagerstown; Harold B. Grove, New Waterford, Ohio; four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Silcox-Merritt Funeral Residence today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Interment will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. A wake service will be held at the funeral home tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. The family requests memorials to the Hospice Unit at Sacred Heart Hospital and the American Cancer Society.
