OBIT "Spartanburg Herald Journal" issue Sun 23 Aug 1998. Georgia Manos Manatis, 86, of Connecticut Ave, died 21 Aug 1998 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Native of Anderson and reared in Greenville, she was the widow of Victor E. Manatis and d/o late John Konstantine and Lillian Kay Manos. She attended Greenville Women's College now Furman Univ and was cofounder of Southern Distributors. She was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church where she was a member of the Greek Ladies Philoptohos Society and was honored as the Mother of the Year in 1986. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Book Review Club. Survivors sons John V. Manatis and Lee V. Manatis of Spartanburg; dtr Vicki M. Johnson of Inman; sister Elizabeth Vagias of Baden PA; 8 grandchn and 13 greatgrandchn. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church conductdd by the Rev. George E. Nayfa with burial Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Ch., Spartanburg, 29304
