Ambrose McKenzie, born Mar. 01, 1829 in Greenville Twp., Somerset Co., Pa. and died Apr. 1906.His father was John M. McKenzie b.1795 & d.1863 and his mother was Hannah A. (Tomlinson) McKenzie b. abt. 1794 & d.1838. He married his 1st wife on Feb 15, 1853 in Wellersburg, Pa., she was Lydia (Long) McKenzie, born 1836 and died abt. 1862. He married his 2nd wife on Aug. 04, 1863 in Wellersburg, Pa., she was Rachel (Long) McKenzie, born July 1840 and died Dec. 26, 1908 in Finzel, Md.
Both Long females father's and mother's unknown.

Found this one last night. Not sure what to make of the stated age at time of death, as his tombstone has 1829
The remains of Mr. Ambrose McKenzie, whose death occurred at his residence on Monday evening in Garrett county, several miles west of this city, after an illness of about two weeks, were brought to this place yesterday morning at nine o'clock for burial. The funeral took place from St. Michael's Catholic Church. Father Stephen J. Clark, assisted by Rev. Jos. Nolan, conducted the services. Interment was made in St. Michael's cemetery. The deceased was one of the most prominent men in Garrett county and was well known here. He was seventy years old at the time of his death, and is survived by his wife and a number of children, all of Garrett county. A large concourse of people attended the funeral.
