- Mrs. Ernest Q. Michael – Mrs. Maggie Llewellyn Michael, 68, wife of Ernest Q. Michael, Avilton, died last Thursday morning in Allegany Hospital, Cumberland. She was born near Gilmore, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (McKenzie) Llewellyn. Besides her husband, she is survived by six sons, Henry Michael, Avilton, Walter Michael, Charles Michael and Stewart Michael, all of Cumberland, David Michael, Washington, D.C., and Vernon Michael with the U.S. Army in Virginia; four daughters, Mrs. Lillie McKenzie, Frostburg; Mrs. Lottie Broadwater, Cumberland; Mrs. Mary Wampler, Avilton; and Mrs. Wilda Minnick, Finzel; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Hickman, Leroy, W. Va.; and Mrs. Lilly Grindle, Lonaconing; a brother, Walter Llewellyn, Romney, W. Va., and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday from the Mt. Zion Methodist Church, Grantsville, at 1:30 p.m. Burial was in the church cemetery. Cumberland Evening Times September 30, 1948
