| Deed from Rachel McKenzie to James Cord 1767 McKenzie's Discovery On 13 May 1767, Moses McKenzie's (b. 1720) widow, Rachel, attempted to sell 32 acres of McKenzie's Discovery to James Cord for the sum of 7 pounds. The sale must have fallen through or been ruled invalid because on 26 Aug 1783, Moses McKenzie, Jr. evenually sold all 96 acres of McKenzie's Discovery to the same James Cord for 110 pounds. This is the land that Moses Sr. inherited from his father, John MacKinzie via his will in 1758.
